If you are looking for natural ways to manage your health without added pills or products, as well as work on your relationship with food, consider scheduling an appointment. We work with patients to help them feel better overall, help them lose weight, and find ways to enjoy life without eliminating the foods they love or prescribing a restrictive diet.
Have you ever been told by your doctor that you need to lose weight, lower your cholesterol, or manage your diabetes and weren't sure where to begin? Is it a goal of yours to cut back on some of your diabetes or blood pressure medicine? Diet and lifestyle are the forefront of treatment for many conditions, and we specialize in nutrition to help with weight loss, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, and managing blood sugar.
We work one on one with patients that have a variety of cardiovascular issues such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, elevated triglycerides, congestive heart failure, and coronary artery disease. We work closely with cardiologists and other heart specialists and know the importance of how nutrition impacts your heart.
Blood sugar management is important for overall health. If you have diabetes or pre-diabetes, we can help lower your A1C and provide the tools you need to get your blood sugar under control.
Have you struggled with trying different weight-loss diets, but feel like nothing has ever stuck? We work with patients to help them with sustainable weight loss while still fitting foods they enjoy into their diet. Each person's weight loss journey is different and I customize my sessions so that you can keep the weight off for good.
For the initial assessment, I will dive deep into your medical history, goals, typical diet, current medications, sleep habits, and other factors that impact your diet and lifestyle. The session will be guided based on these answers. Follow-up sessions will be dependent on goals we set during the initial assessment. I often times track information such as weight, body composition, blood pressure, food diaries, etc., but it is very dependent on each person and their goals.
Cost varies patient to patient depending on insurance coverage and their diagnosis. We offer out-of-pocket rates as well, but it is dependent on each person's coverage and financial situation.
I am an in-network provider with many major commercial and state insurances, including BCBS, United HealthCare, Humana, Cigna, Medicare, and Tricare.
If you have Medicare part B or Tricare then a referral is needed. Commercial plans generally don't need a referral, but you can always double-check.

Yes! Currently I can use any form of video or audio form to counsel patients on nutrition, but I have a HIPPA compliant telehealth service I use through my electronic health system.
